“Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” (John 15:15)

“...I will call you friends, for you are my friends, and ye shall have an inheritance with me.” (Doctrine & Covenants 93:45)

“...ye are they whom my Father hath given me; ye are my friends.” (Doctrine & Covenants 84:63)

Perhaps first and foremost, Jesus is our Friend, and He loves us. He wants to be in our lives, and He wants to embrace us as a Friend.
